Trigger feels about the same but the ergonomics of the gun (with the 12rd mag) allow me a full grip, less snappy and still can pocket carry with ease. That being said, the max is stil snappy.Conclusion. The Ruger LCP II is a fantastic option for people looking for an easily concealed .380 ACP pistol. Just got an LCP 2 myself and it has impressed me. I previously had the 1st lcp and a Kal Tec p3at and the lcp 2 is a massive upgrade over both IMO. For the record, It is not striker fired and the trigger takes a good long take back before firing so a thumb safety (while I personally agree would be nice to have as an option) is not really necessary.

To me, the slightly wider grip of the Max makes it a lot more comfortable to hold compared to the standard LCP. Reliability and accuracy have been top notch. The trigger's not a 1911 but plenty good enough for the gun's intended purpose.

It's a fine gun, but a rough booger to shoot. Got the Max just recently- for 2 main reasons: it holds 10/12 rounds and it's 380. Figuring the 380 would be an easier shooter- I was wrong. The Max is rough. The main issue with the Max is it is too light and the barrel (like on the Sig) is just too short.

The LC380 is much more comfortable to shoot compared to the LCP. The LCP Max is more comfortable than the LCP and LCP II, but still not as comfortable as the LC380.
